The FOOD Tool is a web-based platform that allows you to search and download data on foodborne disease outbreaks reported to CDC from 1998 through 2016. FOOD Tool was developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to make Foodborne Disease Outbreak Surveillance System data more available to the public and stakeholders. CDC uses more detailed information for its analyses of the causes and risk factors of foodborne disease outbreaks.

FoodNet Fast makes it easy to get information on cases of illness reported to the Foodborne Diseases Active Surveillance Network (FoodNet). It has data on nine pathogens transmitted commonly through food: Campylobacter, Cryptosporidium, Cyclospora, Listeria, Salmonella, Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC), Shigella, Vibrio, and Yersinia. Users can filter the data by pathogen, year, age group, sex, and race.

NARMS Now makes it easy to get information on antibiotic resistance in bacteria isolated from humans as part of the National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System (NARMS). It has data on four bacteria transmitted commonly through food: Campylobacter, E. coli O157, Salmonella, and Shigella. Users can filter the data by bacteria, serotype, antibiotic, year, and geographic region.

NoroSTAT is a network of state health departments and CDC that provides near real-time reporting and monitoring of norovirus outbreak activity. The data is used to track current norovirus activity, better understand outbreaks, and make recommendations to prevent future outbreaks.

CaliciNet is a national norovirus outbreak surveillance network. Its database is used by public health laboratories to submit genetic sequences of norovirus strains associated with gastroenteritis outbreaks, and epidemiological data from outbreaks. The norovirus strains can be compared with other strains in the database, helping CDC link outbreaks to a common source, monitor circulating norovirus strains, and identify newly emerging norovirus strains.

CDC WONDER provides easy access to a wide range of public health data published by CDC, as well as reference materials, reports, and guidelines on health-related topics. The data is intended to help users conduct research, make decisions, set priorities, evaluate programs, and allocate resources.
