This tool allows filtering of NHANES data via direct selection from 8,000+ foods using a streamlined user-friendly interface. This Microsoft Excel-based tool decreases dependence on 3rd party software and allows for transparency and accessibility with the tool’s traceable decision logic.

The Branded Food Products Database enhances the USDA National Nutrient Database with nutrient composition and ingredient information on branded foods and private label data voluntarily provided by the food industry. The addition of private data allows for a better assessment of the food system. Users can search the database by food item, food group, or manufacturer’s name to find nutrient information for food items of interest. They can also generate lists of foods sorted by nutrient content.
