The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Nutrient Data Laboratory (NDL), in collaboration with the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, National Pork Board, American Lamb Board, and meat scientists at selected universities, has conducted several research studies designed to update and expand nutrient data on retail meat cuts in the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference (SR).
