The objectives of the Colloquium were: (i) to have open exchange of views among experts from Member States in the European Union (EU), non-EU countries, academia, stakeholders and the European Commission (EC) on nutrient profiling for foods bearing nutrition and health claims; (ii) to discuss in detail, and in light of current scientific thinking, key aspects of nutrient profiling that the Panel on Dietetic Products, Nutrition and Allergies (NDA) at EFSA will need to consider when providing scientific advice to the EC in setting nutrient profiles.
