The Risk Information Exchange (RiskIE) is an Internet database that contains notifications about a variety of human health risk assessment projects that are in progress or recently completed.  This web-based system enables users to publicly share and track the progress of projects and can be used to identify opportunities for collaboration in the health protection efforts among organizations.  By providing this centralized source of project information, RiskIE aims to help bridge communication gaps among government, industry, academic, and environmental stakeholders of the risk assessment community.  RiskIE is one of the many risk resources provided by the Alliance for Risk Assessment.

The Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) has launched an International Food Additive Database designed to provide industry with easy access to accurate and current regulatory requirements on food additives in importing countries around the world.

In order to prevent zoonoses from occurring, it is important to identify which animals and foodstuffs are the main sources of infections. For this purpose, information aimed at protecting human health is collected and analyzed from all European Union Member States. This page also includes datasets. 

A direct survey approach was designed for the EU27 countries in order to evaluate the availability of trade, production and health control data related to national surveillance and monitoring programs for fish diseases. The survey was distributed between Animal Health and Welfare (AHAW) representatives and European National Reference Laboratories (NRL) contacts and after an email reminder and contact chasing the response was relatively good, with a return of approximately 78%. Analysis of the data was limited in some cases due to the use of the specific language of the national authority.

EFSA, in cooperation with Members States, has decided to set up a database of external scientific experts able to assist its Scientific Committee, Scientific Panels, EFSA networks and respective working groups.

Youth Online is a database which allows analysis of national, state, and local Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS) data from 1991-2009. Data from high school and middle school surveys are included. It is possible to filter and sort on the basis of race/ethnicity, sex, grade, or site, create customized tables and graphs, and perform statistical tests by site and health topic.

The Chronic Disease Indicators (CDI) is a cross-cutting set of 97 indicators that were developed by consensus and that allows states, territories and large metropolitan areas to uniformly define, collect, and report chronic disease data that are—

• Available for states, territories and large metropolitan areas

In addition to providing access to indicator data, the CDI Web site serves as a gateway to additional information and data resources.

The BRFSS, the world’s largest telephone survey, tracks health risks in the United States. Information from the survey is used to improve the health of the American people. Here, Cross Tabulation Analysis and Logistic Analysis are available. 

The Selected Metropolitan/Micropolitan Area Risk Trends (SMART) project uses the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) to analyze the data of selected metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas (MMSAs) with 500 or more respondents. BRFSS data can be used to identify emerging health problems, establish and track health objectives, and develop and evaluate public health policies and programs.

The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) is the world’s largest, on-going telephone health survey system, tracking health conditions and risk behaviors in the United States yearly since 1984. Here, prevalence and trends data are presented. 

The Bibliography of Data-Related Literature is a continuously-updated database of thousands of citations of works using data held in the ICPSR archive. The works include journal articles, books, book chapters, government and agency reports, working papers, dissertations, conference papers, meeting presentations, unpublished manuscripts, magazine and newspaper articles, and audiovisual materials.

The State and Local Area Integrated Telephone Survey (SLAITS) collects important health care data at State and local levels. This data collection mechanism was developed by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It supplements current national data collection strategies by providing in-depth State and local area data to meet various program and policy needs in an ever-changing health care system.

The Longitudinal Studies of Aging (LSOAs) is a collaborative project of National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) and the National Institute on Aging (NIA). It is a multicohort study of persons 70 years of age and over designed primarily to measure changes in the health, functional status, living arrangements, and health services utilization of two cohorts of Americans as they move into and through the oldest ages.

The National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG) gathers information on family life, marriage and divorce, pregnancy, infertility, use of contraception, and men's and women's health. The survey results are used by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and others to plan health services and health education programs, and to do statistical studies of families, fertility, and health.

The National Immunization Survey (NIS) is sponsored by the National Center for Immunizations and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) and conducted jointly by NCIRD and the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The NIS is a list-assisted random-digit-dialing telephone survey followed by a mailed survey to children’s immunization providers that began data collection in April 1994 to monitor childhood immunization coverage.

The WAHID Interface provides access to all data held within OIE's new World Animal Health Information System (WAHIS). It replaces and significantly extends the former web interface named Handistatus II System. Information is available from immediate notifications, six-monthly reports, and annual reports. It is possible to search the database by country, by disease, by control measure, or to compare animal health among two countries.

A survey conducted by Research Triangle Institute (RTI) under contract with FDA. The access database contains 546 records of private laboratories that test food. It includes the variables needed to support the kinds of analyses FDA expects to undertake-such as location and contact information, economic variables, test capabilities, and Quality Assurance Programs. The FTLD allows users to sort laboratories by location such as state or country, query laboratories owned by one parent company, sort laboratories by capabilities, and sort laboratories that use quality assurance guidelines such as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards, and determine laboratories associated with a certain geographic area or FDA district. This page also contains the final report of the project, which describes the selection process used to distinguish food laboratories from other laboratories, the structure of the FTLD, including the variables, tables, and forms that make up the database. The publication-related archive contains datasets and other materials deposited by an investigator that allow another researcher to replicate the analysis in a published article, book, or dissertation. Many journals, publishers, funding agencies, and graduate departments require investigators to deposit replication datasets in a public archive.
